Tulsa Talons

Last weekend we saw the Tulsa Talons (Areana Football) win their playoff game against the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgs.

Arena football is lots of fun. You get to be really close to the action. Check out this Talons fan...



He had a home-made megaphone and he rarely put it down. In that picture above he's shouting directly at the Yard Dawgs quarterback and head coach. I'm sure he was not being complimentary.

There were lots of kids around us in the stands, too. Not all of them were quite as interested in the game as we were:



By far, the highlight of the night was the lady in front of us. She was constant source of entertainment. She had apparently started in on the recreational BEvERages before the game started. She shouted things (many of them printable!) at the Yard Dawgs fans in attendance. She danced every time music of any kind was played over the PA. She violently high-fived everybody around her frequently. She never put down her beer. And she was wearing... uh... this shirt...



Granted, I've seen those shirts before ("the wall" refers to the wall around the playing field). I just wasn't prepared for pink. For me, it pushed things out beyond "suggestive humor" and well into the "ew..." category.

Finally, on the way out, we saw several trees outside the BOK center with Christmas-ish lights in them.



I have no idea why the trees outside the BOK center are lit up from the waist down. They were out of place, but pretty. :)
